The biggest thing we have found is that you need your own website, and then link to the affiliate opportunities, otherwise your pages will never get indexed by Google. And Google has said that they will eventually stop indexing affiliate type pages.

In a recent meeting that I attended where we had to take back the content and then train our teams we were given all the content on a flash drive. This helped to save printing and shipping costs as we could print on demand the documents we needed and we had access to all the presentations and videos in one secure place. There is a term that is used called public domain. So the theory is that if it exists and is general knowledge can you then recreate it or publish on your site or through any other forms of communications. In the case that was in question, the plaintiff had received some information via an email, and then published the identical content on forums. This does not however give away the rights of articles that are filed and protected under copyright laws. Many authors on blogs, and websites will publish their content. But fail to protect those intellectual rights by filing with the proper bodies.

New legislation that has been proposed by Senator John McCain, could hold bloggers responsible for any copyrighted material or damaging comment about a person or business that are posted on their blogs. Even in the comments section. This could make for some interesting debates on the control of free speech, and how to control this type of content on the web.

In an effort to attract consumers to use their credit cards, banks are now offering unique card with sleek features. AMEX has introduced a new card that has “plunk Value”. This card is actually not made out of plastic, but actual metal. So in a battle to get that top position in your wallet or purse, banks are offering less in interest rate offer, but a card that maybe smells of coffee. How about a card that folds up in you wallet? The consumer has been bombarded with credit card offers, to switch their balances to the next great offer. And maybe those offers are running their course. As the Fed increases the interest rate, bank cards are having more trouble in providing those 0% offers.

Research has shown that the more unique the card the longer the card user is to hold on to it. Case in point is the AMEX Blue transparent card. I carry one and the unique transparent card is unique and does get attention. I have held onto my card for over 5 years. Next will be cards that act as more than a credit card. I waiting for the day someone brings out the MP3/credit card. So you can listen to your favorite tunes while charging that next pair of jeans.

With 2008 now behind us and the New Year just getting started many people are wondering what will 2009 have in store for them. Of these few that we saw we were interested to see how not using our credit card for one full week would pay out. While we are not reliant on our credit card for everyday purchases there are those impulse buys that can be stopped if you have do not have the physical cash to pay for so we will try this one out and let everyone know what we saw. Here in the US Golf is a popular sport that has grown in popularity thanks in part to the Tiger Woods and some of the younger talent that has been showing up at tournaments. The game of golf has also been growing in popularity across the globe in countries like Germany, Spain, and Italy. In the Asian countries they are building multi-level courses that are targeted towards the affluent since space and and land are at a premium. Golf is one sport that can be very rewarding and challenging at the same time and when you watch those on TV you have to watch in amazement as they consistently hit the shots from tee box to green. That does leave the inspiration for us weekend golfers to aspire to hit that perfect fairway shot in 2009 as the game of golf continues to grow.

This is something that is starting to gain traction, as the availability of broadband and video-editing software becomes more prominent. The use of a video resume and could be just the edge you need to get the in-person interview. With the like of YouTube, and Google video, more and more people are uploading videos of themselves acting out music videos, so it only makes since to use the medium to get a job.
