I know a few holidays are coming up and we will have longer weekends or those 3 day weekends that include Monday as a holiday. I like the 3 day weekends and I know a lot of people will be going camping soon. Dusting off the tent and camping supplies and getting them ready for the lake or the woods is a good idea right now. I have been looking at some of the new Salmon XA hiking shoes that offer a more comfortable yet durable profile than a rigid hiking boot. This shoe can be used in both rough terrain and just hiking around lakes. If you start preparing for your camping adventure now, you will be all set to go when the time comes. I want to go camping soon and probably just for a 1 night camping trip. I like to have a river or lake nearby, so I can fish the night away while camping.

The time has recently changed and we all set our clocks up 1 hour. This gives us more daylight time in the evenings after work, so you should be able to get your camping supplies ready for a good camping trip. I know some people start to fish after work; once the time goes ahead by 1 hour and the fishing spots might be a little crowded right now. I know the warm weekends will be packed with fishermen, but those seeking a little fishing after work, probably can find a spot during the week. I work on my own schedule, so it’s easy for me to go fishing during the day when everyone else is at work. I like to have plenty of room for casting and don’t have to worry about getting hung up on other fishermen’s line.

What do you like to do when you go camping? Is fishing or a nearby water source a must for your camping destination? I don’t even need a tent when I go camping; just a sleeping bad to sleep in is good enough for me. I would recommend packing waders and hiking  a comfortable of hiking shoes so that you are prepared for almost anything. I just look at my camping trips as an all night fishing opportunity. You know the best part of camping is the food cooking on the grill, so make sure to pack the hotdogs, ground beef, steaks, pork chops, chicken, or the items you like to throw on the grill.
